Devon Allman's Honeytribe

This band is formed by some seriously talented musicians with a real  passion for  music. Their touring schedule looks like a page out of Jimi Hendrix's tour diary......it seems they never stop and have no plans to slow down either!!!!

Devon's last name is hard to miss as it brings to mind immediately  The Allman Brothers Band, a band fronted by Devon's father Greg.  Although Devon has tried to separate his music from  his family heritage he has also learned to accept  that his name will be associated  with what his father has left before him.

Honeytribe are making new fans everyday and their mixture of southern rock with a good dose of blues and jam band not only appeal to young Honeytribe fans but also to those who are fans of The Allman Brothers Band, The Black Crowes, ....etc

The band have toured North America as well as Europe, and are likely playing  somewhere tonight!!!! These guys certainly live to play live. When they are not on tour they are in the studio; one way or the other their involvement in music is constant and they couldn't be happier doing what they love!!!!

Jimmi Hazzard

Jimmi Hazzard is a classic example of a southern rock jam band.... the best thing is   they're from about as far south as west is from east!!! They're from rainy western Canada....!!!! But nothing a couple of trips to Bonaroo can't change. Some religious studying of bands like The Black Crowes, Lynyrd Skynrd, Wide Mouth Mason, and even some jazz guys like Kevin Breit, John Scofield, and what do you get.... Jimmi Hazzard!!!!

Young yes,  but none of these guys are new to music, and between them they have   played in numerous bands, shared  stages with the likes of the Wailing Wailers, Dave Holland, Ingrid Jensen,  and many more.... they've recorded on albums for major record label  recording artists, and been feature performers in jazz big bands to down and dirty hard rockin bar bands.  Their music shows their influences from rock to reggae and from  country to jazz!!!!

Here are some young guys who obviously don't care about the trends of young rock  bands today. These guys are more interested in playing what they love best and what comes from the soul, and it works because they're constantly performing to a legion of loyal fans that love it..... nothing wrong with that in our books!!!

When you perform music from the soul, that you like and you want to play, it shows because it's authentic.  It might not make you famous overnight,  but your fans will be just as true to you as you are to the music!!!!

Jon Bone & The Karuna Movement

On this ocassion we are going to use the bands own write up. As you will   see we could not have done better:

"Karuna means compassion.
Music is medicine.
Music can help to heal the world of it's miseries by inspiring people to set down their worries, even for a short time, and be present with the vibrations pulsing from the bands very heart . . .
Music can inspire people to dance and awaken to the reality of the sensations in their bodies; The sensations that can only be now. No past regrets or sorrows. No future desires. The pureness of the present and the music of this moment.
Music can communicate a message, and in our case, the message of awakening to this moment, to accept and enjoy it, and to celebrate life through song dance. To live with the conscious intention to be of benefit.
The Karuna Movement is a Jam band laying down a mix of reggae, funk,   and world grooves and colouring them with catchy melodies and deep lyrical content. We groove on a nice balance of catchy tunes with free form, improvized jams. We're all heart. Come ready to dance!!!
